Following major racketeering cases against SEIU and UFCW officials, an Arizona grocery chain has filed a defamation suit against UFCW for its questionable organizing tactics.
Couldn’t happen to a more responsible group of guys (see picture).
UPDATE (Dec. 19 at ~9:30): The Arizona Republic adds details, including this quote which we think sums up much of the problem with modern union organizing:
“The UFCW’s campaign is carefully crafted to inflict substantial economic damages, destroy Bashas’ reputation and extort Bashas’ into submitting to unionization,” Manning said.
