UNITE HERE Bosses Slapped Down Over NLRB Complaint

We’ve told you … again and again and again … about some of UNITE HERE leaders’ less ethical organizing tactics. Like too many other labor leaders, they are trying to use PR smear campaigns to avoid letting employees vote in a real union election overseen by the government. The latest from their battle to demonize Los Angeles hotels, from one of the employers:

After a thorough investigation, the regional office of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has dismissed charges against the LAX Hilton. The allegations, claiming violations of the National Labor Relations Act, were made by UNITE HERE Local 11 on behalf of an employee who had been fired for theft. In fact the employee in question had been caught in the act by security cameras …

Filing false and retaliatory NLRB charges are just some of the less than ethical actions taken by UNITE HERE local 11 in its efforts to force LAX Hilton employees to accept the union as its labor representative. The LAX Hilton has made it clear that the hotel will support a free and fair election that would allow its employees to choose if they would like to be organized by the union.
