News is still buzzing this morning about the ever-so-rare RICO lawsuit filed by Smithfield Foods against the United Food and Commercial Workers (and Change To Win, and Andy Stern, and a host of others …). Just to be clear: this is a huge step in the modern fight against unions’ anti-corporate smear campaigns. But as a walk down memory lane, here are some other RICO cases faced by unions in the past:

- The U.S. government has been eying a RICO conviction against the allegedly mobbed-up dockworkers union
