Oregon Runs Over Unhappy SEIU Members

A long-lasting fight we have kept an eye on is the drive by some Oregon Department of Transportation employees to escape the shackles of SEIU. They’ve been fighting that battle for years, but seem to have the world against them. There’s more disheartening news, and a reminder that union officials are less concerned about making members happy than keeping members’ money flowing in. The Statesman Journal today reported that a state bureaucracy has denied the employees’ petition to form their own union. Chalk another one up for SEIU against the people of Oregon.
